This calendar was an internal project for the student-run Graphics Center for the month of October. The design leans more experimental, diving into contrasting colors, linework, and typography. The calendar itself is built into a spiderweb and spirals around, inspired by alternative calendar designs. The illustrations are hand-drawn with natural curves and a background splatter effect to create texture around the linework. The typography is experimental and bold, combining two different aesthetics, gothic and eastern Asian characters. The design was overall inspired by 80s Japanese artwork with a halloween gothic spin for the month of October.
