6-Word Memoir Trading Card, 2024
Cardstock, 2.5” x 3.5”
Typography, ART205, University of San Francisco
This card features a six word statement and inventive design to describe the creator. It is meant to act as a trading card, and any imagery or typefaces can be used to tell the story of the six words. This project was about the self, so the card gravitates towards text, color, and imagery that the creator is fond of. The design utilizes movement and a natural use of space to add to the meaning of the six words, “I Will Sleep When I’m Dead”, conveying the act of working hard and advancing in life. The textured character and gothic stamp typeface add to a whimsical and colorful feel. The back of the card uses the same star and texture from the front.
